Certified School Nurse – Full-Time

Onward Search Education is partnering with a private school in Princeton, NJ to hire a Certified School Nurse for the 2025–2026 school year. This full-time, on-site opportunity offers a starting salary of $60,000 and the chance to provide meaningful medical support to students with autism and developmental disabilities in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Primary Responsibilities
Provide medical support and deliver nursing care to students in accordance with school policies. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Perform physical assessments to monitor student wellness and respond to illness or injury with appropriate follow-up. Assist with school-required physical examinations, including for sports, working papers, and child study team evaluations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date student health records, including immunizations and medication history. Track annual physicals for all staff. Review immunization records and ensure compliance with Department of Education guidelines. Support annual Bloodborne Pathogens training and maintain first aid supplies in both school buildings and transportation vehicles. Provide CPR training and conduct audiometric and vision screenings in collaboration with the Speech and Language Department. Deliver individualized health care services tailored to student needs. Fulfill additional duties as assigned by school leadership.

Position Requirements
Education & Credentials: Must possess a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license and New Jersey School Nurse Certification.
Experience: Minimum of two years of nursing experience, with a strong preference for prior work with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities. Must hold current CPR/AED certification.
