We’re partnering with a school in Lake County, IL to hire a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist for and Extended School Year (ESY) assignment.
Speech Language Pathologists play a vital role in supporting students’ communication needs by assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders. This role ensures students can access their education fully and meaningfully while contributing to their overall academic and social success.
Position Details:
- Start Date: 6/15/26
- End Date: 7/26/26
- Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:15am – 12:15pm
- School Year: 2025/2026 ESY
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Provide direct therapy services to students based on IEP goals.
- Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate goals and service plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and service logs.
- Support communication needs across general and special education settings.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Illinois SLP license and/or PEL endorsement as required by the district.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or ability to obtain.
- Previous school-based experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to provide evidence-based interventions and follow IEP procedures.
