We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) for a contracted, full-time, on-site role in Omak, Washington during the 2025–2026 school year.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

• Adapt general education curriculum to meet each student’s communication and access needs.

• Utilize sign language, oral communication strategies, or assistive technology, depending on the student’s communication mode.

• Collaborate with general education teachers, speech-language pathologists, families, and related service providers.

• Participate in IEP development and meetings, ensuring services align with student goals.

• Monitor and document student progress consistently.

Qualifications:

• Valid state teaching certification with an endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH).

• Experience working with K–12 students with hearing loss.

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred or required, depending on district.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

• Knowledge of assistive technology and accommodations for DHH students.
