Onward Search Education partners with school districts across Kane County, IL to connect qualified professionals with meaningful school-based opportunities. We are currently seeking a school psychologist for a PreK–5th grade assignment for the 2025–2026 academic year.
This role is ideal for a school psychologist who is committed to fostering student development through data-informed evaluations, collaborative problem-solving, and short-term counseling services.
Position Details:

Location: Aurora, IL

Schedule: 3 or 5 days per week, 7:45 AM – 3:30 PM

Duration: August 2025 – May 2026

Age Group: PreK–5th grade

Caseload: Light individual counseling and evaluation-based assessments

Setting: On-site
Key Responsibilities:
-
Conduct psychoeducational assessments to inform eligibility and program planning
-
Provide individual and small-group counseling services as needed
-
Collaborate with educators, related service providers, and families to support student success
-
Contribute to multidisciplinary IEP teams and student support initiatives
-
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
Qualifications:
-
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist Endorsement (Type 73)

Demonstrated experience conducting evaluations and developing data-driven recommendations

Prior experience working with elementary-aged students strongly preferred
-
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities within a school-based setting
