We're partnering with an exceptional school district in Marion County, IN, seeking a dedicated and student-centered School Counselor to support the academic, social, and emotional needs of middle and high school students. This is a part-time opportunity from July 2025 through June 2026.

This is a meaningful opportunity to work 2-3 days per week in a hybrid or in-person setting (fully remote options are not available), providing vital counseling services to students in grades 7 through 12. With a manageable caseload of approximately 150 students and guaranteed 20 hours weekly, you'll play a key role in fostering student success and well-being.

Position Details: Location: Hybrid or in-person (fully remote options not available) Duration: July 2025 - June 2026 Schedule: 2-3 days per week, 7:10am-3:30pm Guaranteed Hours: 20 weekly Grade Levels: Middle and high school (7th-12th) Caseload: Approx. 150 students

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social-emotional counseling and support to students, addressing behavioral, emotional, academic, and interpersonal challenges.

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement strategies that foster student achievement and personal growth.

• Use data-driven assessments and observations to identify student needs and guide the development of appropriate school-based interventions.

• Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans, contributing input to ensure alignment with student goals and educational progress.

• Serve as an advocate for students by facilitating access to school and community-based resources that support academic and emotional well-being.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records, complete required documentation, and actively engage in student support team and multidisciplinary meetings to promote student success.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree from an accredited institution in school counseling.

• Educator license in the state of Indiana - Initial Practitioner (IP), Proficient Practitioner (PP), or Advanced Practitioner (AP) - with a School Counselor endorsement.

• Experience working with diverse student populations and implementing social-emotional interventions.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
