We’re currently seeking a School Social Worker or School Counselor for a full-time opportunity in McHenry County, IL for the 2025–2026 school year. Position Details:

Position: School Social Worker or School Counselor
Location: McHenry County, IL
Age Group: PreK–3rd Grade
Duration: August 4, 2025 – May 22, 2026
Schedule: Monday to Friday, School Hours

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social-emotional support and counseling services to students in early childhood and elementary grades.

• Address behavioral, emotional, and social needs through individual and group interventions.

• Collaborate with school staff, administrators, and families to support student success through targeted strategies.

• Participate in the development and delivery of IEP counseling goals.

• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings as needed.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or School Counseling.

• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsement.

• Experience with early childhood or elementary-aged students is a plus.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

• Passion for supporting the whole child in a school-based setting.
