We’re hiring a School Social Worker to serve a school district in Houston, TX for the 2025–2026 school year.

This opportunity offers full-time hours, Monday through Friday, serving students in preschool through 8th grade. The position starts August 12, 2025 and ends May 9, 2026. Work will take place during standard school hours (exact hours TBD).

Position Details:

• Location: Houston, TX

• Start Date: August 12, 2025

• End Date: May 9, 2026

• Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday

• Grade Level: Preschool - 8th grade

• Hours: During standard school hours (exact hours TBD)

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development.

• Collaborate with families, teachers, and administrators to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.

• Conduct assessments and participate in IEP/504 planning as needed.

• Serve as a liaison between the school and community resources to support student needs.

• Support crisis intervention and conflict resolution when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Obtain a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).

• Pass the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) examination.

• Apply for licensure through the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners (Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council).

• Active Texas licensure (LCSW or LMSW with school-based experience preferred).
