We’re currently seeking a Special Education Teacher (LBS1) for an onsite opportunity supporting a specialized Autism Program in Cook County, IL. This is a full-time contract position running from August 2025 through May 2026.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work directly with students in grades K–2 within a structured self-contained autism program. The role offers a chance to provide individualized instruction, promote student growth, and collaborate within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Position Details:

• Role: Special Education Teacher (LBS1)
• Program: Autism Program – Grades K–2
• Location: Cook County, IL
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full-Time
• Contract: August 2025 – May 2026

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students in a self-contained autism program (K–2).

• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) with evidence-based strategies.

• Create a structured and supportive classroom environment that promotes communication, independence, and social skills.

• Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and general education staff.

• Monitor and document student progress, ensuring compliance with IEP and state requirements.

• Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement.

• Experience working with students with autism, particularly in early elementary grades, preferred.
