We are partnering with a fantastic school district in Klickitat County, WA to find a compassionate full-time School Nurse (RN or LPN) for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year.

This is a meaningful opportunity to provide individualized nursing care to a middle school student in a supportive educational environment. In this role, you will deliver one-to-one health support throughout the school day, including seizure monitoring and management, feeding assistance, and daily medical care, while collaborating with school staff to ensure the student’s safety, access to learning, and overall well-being in the academic setting.

Position Details

• Location: In-person (no hybrid or remote options available)
• Expected start: January 2026
• Expected end: June 2026
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Grade Levels: Elementary School, K-5

Responsibilities:

• Administer daily medical care and respond to student health needs throughout the school day.

• Manage medications, treatment plans, and health records in compliance with district and state regulations.

• Monitor for illness or injury and provide appropriate care, documentation, or referrals.

• Collaborate with educators and case managers to develop and implement health components of IEPs and 504 plans.

• Participate in IEP meetings and provide medical input to support student evaluations and accommodations.

• Communicate with families, staff, and healthcare providers to coordinate ongoing care and ensure a safe, healthy school environment.

Qualifications:

• ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certification in School Nursing issued by the state of Washington OSPI.

• Unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Professional Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Washington.

• Prior experience working in a school or pediatric setting.
