We’re partnering with a school district in Cook County, Illinois to hire a dedicated School Psychologist for the 2025-2026 school year. This position supports students through comprehensive psychological and educational services.

Position Summary

The School Psychologist will provide assessment, consultation, and intervention services to support students’ academic achievement, social-emotional development, and mental health. The role involves close collaboration with educators, administrators, families, and related service providers to ensure students receive appropriate supports and services aligned with their needs.

Position Details:

• Position: School Psychologist
• Location: In-person, Cook County, IL
• Schedule: 8:00am - 2:45pm (MWThF) 8:00am-4:00pm (T)
• Caseload: Transition Classroom, approx. 85 students
• Additional Info: Testing and IEP paperwork

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and re-evaluations in compliance with IDEA and Illinois regulations.
• Interpret assessment results and present findings at IEP and eligibility meetings.
• Collaborate with educators and support teams to develop and implement effective interventions.
• Provide consultation and support related to student behavior, learning, and mental health needs.
• Participate in crisis response, threat assessments, and school-based mental health initiatives.
• Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and compliance records.

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement (required).
• Strong knowledge of psychoeducational assessment tools and special education law.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to student-centered, ethical, and data-driven practice.
