We’re currently searching for a dedicated and passionate Special Education Paraprofessional to join a dynamic school team in Cook County, IL. This is a full-time, in-person role for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year.

This opportunity offers the chance to make a direct impact in students’ daily lives by supporting their academic and emotional growth in a collaborative classroom environment. You’ll work closely with teachers and support staff to foster inclusion and deliver consistent, compassionate support.

Position Details:

• Position: Special Education Paraprofessional

• Location: Cook County, IL

• Schedule: Monday–Friday

• Weekly Hours: 32.5 hours per week

• Setting: In-person (no virtual or hybrid options)

Responsibilities:

• Support emotional regulation and behavior management using effective coping strategies.

• Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and monitor student progress.

• Assist with social skills development, including communication and conflict resolution.

• Provide one-on-one support during classroom activities and student transitions.

• Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to ensure consistent student support.

• Create a safe, supportive environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves.

Qualifications:

• A valid Educator License with Stipulations (ELS) for Paraprofessionals in the state of Illinois, OR

• An Illinois Substitute Teacher license plus a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
