We are currently seeking a dedicated School Speech Language Pathologist for a full time position for the 25/26 school year in Lake County, Illinois.

Details:

• Location: In-person (no virtual or hybrid option)
• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 35 hours

Responsibilities:

The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders to enhance students’ academic and social success.

• Conduct speech and language assessments to identify students' needs.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans for eligible students.
• Provide direct therapy services in individual, small-group, and classroom settings.
• Address speech disorders, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language impairments.
• Support early intervention strategies to enhance communication development.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to integrate communication goals into the classroom.
• Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
• Educate families and staff on speech and language development strategies.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• A Professional Educator License (PEL) with a school support personnel endorsement in speech-language pathology
• A state professional license issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
