We’re currently hiring an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher for an Extended School Year (ESY) program focused on young learners.

Position Details:

• Location: Lake County, IL

• Schedule: Monday – Friday (school hours)

• Hours: Approximately 15 hours per week

• Program Dates: June 9 – June 27

• Grade Levels: Early Childhood

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction in a structured early childhood classroom

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with a range of needs

• Provide a nurturing, inclusive environment that promotes social-emotional and academic growth

• Adapt instructional strategies to meet each student’s developmental level

• Collaborate with support staff and related service providers

• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records

• Participate in IEP meetings and parent communication as needed

Qualifications:

• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Early Childhood Special Education Endorsement

• Experience in early childhood settings and familiarity with IEP implementation strongly preferred
