We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Nurse for an exciting full-time, in-person opportunity near Lawrence, MA. This position supports preschool through 8th-grade students and begins ASAP, continuing through the end of the school year.

This is a unique floating role that provides coverage across nine campuses, stepping in for absent nurses and offering support at the largest campus when not floating.

Position Details:

• Location: In-person only (no hybrid/virtual options).

• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

• Hours: 40 hours/week.

• Caseload: Floating nurse covering 9 campuses; support provided at the largest campus when not floating.

• Student Age Range: Preschool – 8th grade.

• Pay Range:

• LPN: $40 – $43 hourly.

• RN: $45 – $50 hourly.

School Nurse Responsibilities:

• Provide healthcare and first aid to students and staff on school grounds and as needed during field trips or school events.

• Promote safety practices within school buildings and on school grounds.

• Respond to urgent or frequent health issues, offering counseling and crisis intervention as needed.

• Tailor nursing actions to individual student needs, coordinating with other providers and school personnel.

• Manage and administer prescribed medications or medical interventions.

• Provide social-emotional support to students.

• Respond to child neglect or abuse issues in accordance with Massachusetts statute.

• Collaborate with school nurses to conduct mandated student health screenings.

• Maintain daily records of student visits and current health records for each student.

• Order health office supplies in coordination with Operations Managers.

• Oversee maintenance of health-related equipment.

• Maintain classroom first aid backpacks.

• Respond to medical emergencies to effectively address safety concerns.

School Nurse Qualifications:

• Hold a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

• Associate’s degree in Nursing is required; Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program is preferred.

• Experience working with school-aged children is preferred.

• Experience in health records administration for schools is preferred.

• Must be willing and able to travel between school campuses by car.
