We’re currently seeking a School Social Worker for a short-term summer contract in Suffolk County, MA. This is an exciting opportunity to make a direct impact while working in a supportive, student-centered environment.

In this role, you will provide targeted social-emotional support to a small caseload of students, collaborate with school teams, and help implement strategies that promote student well-being and academic success.

Position Details:

• Position: School Social Worker

• Location: Suffolk County, MA

• Start Date: June 26th, 2025

• End Date: July 18th, 2026

• Caseload: 3 students, various ages

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social-emotional support and counseling services to students, addressing behavioral, emotional, and social challenges.

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement intervention strategies that promote student success.

• Conduct assessments to identify student needs and provide recommendations for appropriate services and accommodations.

• Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

• Advocate for students by connecting them with community resources and support services to address academic, social, and emotional needs.

• Maintain accurate records, complete required documentation, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student well-being.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW).

• Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) license in Massachusetts.

• School Social Work License through the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

• Experience working with diverse student populations and implementing social-emotional interventions.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
