We’re seeking a Special Education Teacher for a school district in Cook County, IL. This in-person position is available immediately and runs through November 15, 2025, supporting a middle school self-contained math class.

This is an excellent opportunity to provide individualized instruction, implement IEPs, and collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success. You’ll help foster an inclusive learning environment, use differentiated teaching strategies, and advocate for students’ academic, social, and behavioral growth.

Position Details:

• Location: In-person (no hybrid or remote options)

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:15am–3:15pm

• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 32.5 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction aligned with student IEPs.

• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families.

• Create and maintain an inclusive, supportive learning environment.

• Use differentiated teaching methods to meet student needs.

• Monitor and advocate for students’ academic, social, and behavioral development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or related field.

• Illinois state teaching certification in Special Education.

• Professional Educator License (PEL) in the state of Illinois.
