The School Psychologist supports students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success by providing assessments, interventions, and consultation services, while collaborating closely with educators, families, and support staff to foster positive learning environments.


Position Details:

• Start Date: 8/19/26
• End Date: 6/2/27
• Schedule: Start and end times vary by school (e.g., Intermediate 8:20–3:55; Middle 7:40–3:15)
• Grade Levels: Elementary age – PreK–8th grades
• Location: In Person, 37.5 hours per week
• School Year: 2026/2027

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and evaluations to support special education eligibility and instructional planning.
• Provide individual and group counseling, behavioral interventions, and social-emotional support to students.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective intervention strategies and behavior plans.
• Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Support school-wide initiatives related to mental health, positive behavior supports, and crisis intervention.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state, federal, and district regulations.

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois School Psychologist certification or licensure.
• Master’s, Specialist, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
• Experience conducting assessments and working with diverse student populations, including students with special needs.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage caseloads effectively and work across multiple school settings.
• Commitment to ethical practice and student-centered support.
