Onward Search Education is partnering with a school district in Okanogan County, WA to hire a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for the 2025–2026 school year.

Position Details:

  • Location: Okanogan County, WA
  • Start Date: August 27, 2025
  • End Date: June 2026
  • Schedule: Full-time
  • Grade Level: K–12
  • Hours: 37.5-40 per week

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments across various grade levels.
  • Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Assist in adapting classroom materials into accessible formats (Braille, large print, tactile graphics, etc.).
  • Support teachers and staff in implementing accommodations for students with visual impairments.
  • Conduct assessments to determine students’ functional vision and educational needs.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State teaching certification with an endorsement in Visual Impairments.
  • ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certification or eligibility to obtain.
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Education of the Visually Impaired or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Braille, assistive technology, and orientation & mobility strategies.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
