Position Details:

• Location: Indianapolis, IN

• Start Date: August 2025

• End Date: May 22, 2026

• Schedule: 7:45 AM – 3:00 PM

• Weekly Hours: 37.5 hours

• Caseload: 80 students

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to English Language Learners (ELLs) using research-based strategies aligned with language proficiency levels.

• Develop and implement individualized language acquisition plans (ILPs) and monitor student progress.

• Collaborate with general education teachers to support ELLs in mainstream classrooms.

• Administer and interpret language proficiency assessments (e.g., WIDA ACCESS, screener).

• Maintain compliance with state and federal ELL program guidelines, including documentation and reporting.

• Adapt curriculum materials and instructional strategies to meet diverse linguistic and academic needs.

• Communicate regularly with families, including providing translated materials or using interpretation services when needed.

• Participate in IEP/504 meetings when applicable for ELL students with disabilities.

• Maintain accurate records of services, student growth, and accommodations provided.

• Attend professional development sessions focused on ELL instruction, equity, and cultural responsiveness.

• Advocate for equitable access to academic opportunities for multilingual learners.

Qualifications:

• Required License/Certification: IN teacher license with ELL licensure.
