We’re partnering with a school district in Cook County, Illinois to hire a dedicated Special Education Teacher.

This part-time, in-person role supports K–5 students in a resource setting, helping them succeed academically, socially, and developmentally. You’ll work directly with students, providing individualized instruction, collaborating with educators and families, and supporting students’ participation in the school environment.

Position Details:
Location: In-person, Cook County, IL
Hours: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Schedule: Part Time 0.5
School Year: January 2026 – June 2026

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to K–5 students in a resource setting

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and individualized learning plans

• Support students’ academic, social, and functional development

• Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families to support student success

• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings

• Foster a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Special Education Teaching license and experience with K–5 students in a resource setting

• Strong knowledge of IEP development and ability to differentiate instruction for students with diverse learning needs

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team
